These photos are Digitalglobe Quickbird images taken before and on December 26 and December 28, 2004 and show the:

     1) pre Tsunami Kalutara, Sri Lanka shoreline,
     2) the first Tsunami wave inundating the shoreline, and
     3) the decrease of ocean level and exposed shore face after the retreat of the initial tsunami wave.

     4) An island portion of Banda Aceh, Sumatra (Indonesia) before the Tsunami.
     5) An island portion of Banda Aceh, Sumatra (Indonesia) after the Tsunami.
